BETHLEHEM CEMETERY
DOSS COMMUNITY
MARIETTA, CASS COUNTY, TEXAS
LOCATION: Cemetery is located .3 miles off FM 1399, in Marietta,
TX, on CR 2357A. Bethlehem Baptist Church was organized in 1870 by
Rev. A. J. Bonner. The church was then located on a knoll, in the
center of the present cemetery. The church was rebuilt in 1975,
about a mile from the cemetery on CR 2355.
Cemetery was read 12-DEC-1995 by Gerald Hammock, John Livingston,
Melba Tims, Irene Powell, Jane Nunn & Kathryn McAlexander.
Bessie Hatten furnished obituary programs and information on
unmarked graves.
Cemetery is known to be predominantly black.
